For Immediate Release-
(6-8-08 New Richmond, WI) Since 2006, Cedar Lake Speedway has utilized Goodyear tires as the spec tire for their weekly program. These tires have proven to be an effective cost savings to the drivers as well as a revenue stream to help supplement the largest track point fund in the upper Midwest. In the spring of 2008, the tire rule was altered to include Hoosiers and American Racer brands following requests from drivers that did not want to switch brands from their regular Friday or Sunday night tracks. Since the switch to an open tire rule, Goodyear has proven to be just as competitive to its Hoosier or American Racer counterparts finding victory lane numerous times. As a result and thru discussions with loyal Cedar Lake drivers, the track will allow all three tire brands for the remainder of the 2008 season. Goodyear will continue to be the recommended tire of Cedar Lake Speedway as revenue generated from their sales help provide funds for the $25,000 track point fund.
